Undergraduate Access to Justice Presents
Run for awareness. Walk for change. Move justice forward. Join students, professionals, families and community members for a day dedicated to access to justice, legal literacy and meaningful community impact.
More Than A Race
The Justice Run brings Calgary together around one simple idea: understanding your rights and accessing legal resources should not be out of reach.
Students, families, professionals, runners, walkers and community members are invited to move together while raising awareness and funds for initiatives connected to access to justice and legal literacy.
Participate in the 5K Justice Run or the 1K Community Walk, fundraise individually or as a team, and then join us at University District for a community celebration featuring speakers, prizes, partner activations and more.
Choose Your Challenge
Challenge yourself alongside students, professionals, organizations, friends and community members while running for a cause that affects us all.
A welcoming community experience for families, children, elders, students and supporters who want to participate without completing the full 5K.
Our 2026 Goal
Our goal is to raise $50,000 through the Justice Run and mobilize our community around greater access to justice.
Participants will have the opportunity to fundraise individually or join together in teams, turning every kilometre into an opportunity to create meaningful community impact.
Why We Run
The law touches almost every part of our lives — employment, housing, education, family, personal safety, business and more. Yet navigating the legal system can be confusing and inaccessible.
Increasing awareness of legal rights, responsibilities and available resources.
Creating connections between students, professionals, organizations and the public.
Raising funds and awareness for initiatives that help move access to justice forward.
In Recognition of Persons Day
The Justice Run takes place during the week of Persons Day, commemorating the historic Persons Case and the Famous Five, whose advocacy helped advance women's legal recognition in Canada.
Their work reminds us that legal change begins when people challenge barriers, understand their rights and push institutions toward greater equality and justice.
After The Finish Line
After the 5K and 1K, participants, families and supporters will come together at University District for a community celebration built around connection, impact and recognition.
Compete. Fundraise. Win.
Raise the most for access to justice and compete for exclusive prizes and recognition.
Race for the finish and compete for recognition as one of the Justice Run's fastest participants.
Bring together your friends, classmates, coworkers or organization and compete as a team.
Better Together
Create a fundraising team of up to 6 participants. Bring your friends, classmates, coworkers or family together, set a fundraising goal and see how much impact your team can create.
